Workforce Sentinel

Canadian Infrastructure & Data Residency

Workforce Sentinel is Canadian-owned and Canadian-hosted. Our core application infrastructure and primary PostgreSQL database run on Canadian-owned Canner infrastructure in Quebec.

Canadian-owned. Canadian-hosted.

Canadian ownership

Workforce Sentinel is Canadian-owned.

Core application infrastructure

The public frontend, API, application compute and primary database are hosted through Canner in Montreal, Quebec.

Primary database

Canner provisions and injects the dedicated PostgreSQL database used for workforce, identity, onboarding, training, credential, competency, inquiry, permission and audit records.

File storage

Private evidence uploads use Canner-managed storage. SCORM package storage is configured against Wasabi’s ca-central-1 endpoint. Canadian storage location does not make Wasabi a Canadian-owned provider.

DNS and TLS

Cloudflare provides authoritative DNS and certificate services. Workforce Sentinel’s current public apex configuration also proxies public web traffic through Cloudflare; API, application and content hosts are DNS-only.

Email

Resend is a separate U.S.-region transactional processor. It processes recipient addresses, delivery metadata and the content of messages sent through it.

Residency and sovereignty

Residency describes where data is stored. Sovereignty also considers the provider’s ownership and legal jurisdiction.

Subprocessors

Canner, Wasabi, Cloudflare and Resend are assessed separately. Canner’s sovereignty attestation is not extended to the other providers.

Capabilities and approach

  • Primary workforce, identity, training, credential, competency, audit and inquiry records are stored in Canner PostgreSQL in Quebec
  • Evidence uploads use Canner-managed Canadian storage; SCORM packages use a Wasabi Canadian-region endpoint
  • Cloudflare currently proxies public-site traffic and separately provides DNS and TLS services
  • Transactional email uses Resend in the United States and exposes recipient addresses and email content to that processor
  • We distinguish Canadian data residency from provider ownership and legal sovereignty
